The Temple Beth Tefilloh Endowment Fund was established to preserve the historic legacy and ensure the long-term sustainability of one of Coastal Georgia’s oldest congregations. Founded in 1886 by a group of twenty-one Jewish families, Temple Beth Tefilloh has served as a place of worship, study, and community for more than a century. Its current building, designed by noted Jewish architect Alfred S. Eichberg and dedicated in 1890, stands as an enduring symbol of faith and heritage in Brunswick.

Throughout its history, Temple Beth Tefilloh—meaning “House of Prayer”—has remained deeply engaged in the local community while fostering a strong sense of Jewish identity, tradition, and pride. From its early days, marked by the dedication ceremony attended by Rabbi Isaac Mayer Wise, to its continued role today, the congregation has demonstrated the lasting impact of a committed and connected community.

This endowment fund supports the preservation of the Temple’s historic structure and the continuation of its religious, educational, and community programs. By providing a permanent source of funding, the endowment helps ensure that the congregation can continue to serve and inspire future generations.

Contributions to the Temple Beth Tefilloh Endowment Fund also offer flexible giving opportunities, including gifts of appreciated assets such as stock or real estate. Through this fund, donors help sustain a vital piece of Coastal Georgia’s cultural and religious history while supporting the ongoing life of the congregation.
